Maundy Thursday (Hand-Washing & Simple Meal)

In first-century Palestine, washing someone's feet was typically done by servants. Roads were dusty, sandals were common, and feet were very dirty. In one of his final acts of humility and service, Jesus, a teacher and leader (making it even more radical), washed the feet of his disciples. In 2026, it is not our feet but our hands that get dirty from our everyday lives and with this along with accessibility in mind, we have decided to host our first hand-washing along with our simple meal. We hope you can join us. Everyone is welcome but not required to bring along light foods (think fruit, bread, cheese etc.) to share in the simple meal.
