PLAN A VISIT
Whether you’ve attended church your whole life or never stepped foot in one before, we know it’s not easy visiting a church for the first time. Where do I go? How should I dress? How long does it last? What about my kids? Will I be included?
We want your first experience at The Belong Collective to be relaxed, and for you and your family to enjoy the service. So, here is some information to help you know what to expect:
WHAT TIME DO YOU MEET?
The Belong Collective meets every* Sunday for in-person services at 10:00am. Each service lasts roughly 60 minutes and we encourage you to arrive a few minutes early to grab some coffee and find your seat.
*We do sometimes meet away from 1500 N. 3RD ST. HARRISBURG, PA.. Example: Church Picnic and Pride of Susquehanna Boat Church. Please check our calendar to ensure it isn’t a special offsite gathering Sunday.
You meet in the city, Where Do I park?
When you arrive at The Belong Collective (1500 N. 3RD ST. HARRISBURG, PA.), you’ll see a parking lot in the rear and street parking is free and often available.
HOW SHOULD I DRESS?
We care more about you than what you wear. Dress how you are most comfortable and you will fit right in. Often Pastor Justin will give his message in a t-shirt and jeans.
DO YOU Accept THE LGBTQIA+ COMMUNITY?
Yes! We can ensure you that The Belong Collective is welcoming of the queer community. We affirm the full inclusion of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and non-binary persons (LGBTQ) in the church's life and ministry. Pastor Justin has officiated, and will continue to officiate, same-sex marriages. Check out our story for more on this.
WHAT ARE THE MESSAGES LIKE?
Our goal every Sunday is to communicate the teachings of Jesus in a way that is engaging, relevant and applicable to your life. You will find that the messages are practical, easy to understand and rooted in love.
WHAT ABOUT THE MUSIC?
Most Sunday’s we have music from either a single musician or a group of musicians. Each Sunday varies in style. Occasionally, we have no music and spend more time with a Q&A discussion, especially when we cover controversial topics that require more time to unpack.
WHAT’S AVAILABLE FOR MY KIDS?
TBC Kids is meeting through the first Sunday of June 2022 before taking the summer off and relaunching in the 2022-2023 school year. Typically, during the 3rd song we release kids to go check in for a kids focused learning time.
